SMILE: costliest ornament and costliest gift

SMILE: costliest ornament and costliest gift

What it costs to smile? Mere happiness, rejoice, some achievement in life, good news, some gift, good marks scored, appraisal, profit in business or share, winning a match, or actually in winning a heart. In the 21st century when science has blessed us with all the luxury and comfort, where technology has made our work easy, where we are able to communicate with our oldest friend due to social media, where the call rates are down and video chats available, where each member of family is earning, DO we really smile?Or is it only Lord Buddha which can claim to smile in the 21st century? The later is right perhaps. Many of you may think that what a crap he is talking about I smile almost daily, but friends my question is do you smile from heart? Do you really feel happy when you smile? Do your soul rejoice when you smile? Or it happens rarely? And the answer is the last. The question to be answered now is why don't we feel happy when we smile? Why do we carry fake smile on our faces? A mere smile has become that costly that we can't even wear a real smile on face? Perhaps yes, because today we are living fast life, or rather we are pretending to live fast life. There is a phrase in English 'Busy without work' that has come true. All are running in a race, no one bother even to stop for himself. It is so unfortunate that in a country like INDIA we don't even slowdown seeing an accident on road, where the hell are we going? In one line "We are heading towards cultural vacuum" We don't even know our neighbours in cities, sharing there agony is a all together different thing.Even when we claim to have connected with all our friends on Whats-up and Facebook, there lie a question do we call them without any work? Do we even communicate them on Facebook without the lust of getting likes on our pages, pics and activities? Answer of both questions is no.Forget friends we even make excuse in attending family affairs, and functions at relatives home.In the time when we claim to have connected tons of our old friends and all our relatives, even foreign friends on Facebook we are so alone.colonies has got dense, apartments higher, population on rise but we are so alone here from within and from outside. One equally important reason behind such dissatisfaction is the race we are in and the work we are doing. We do engineering and works in marketing, we do hotel management and join aviation as Steward, we do MCA and joins bank.We wanted to read literature but our parents wanted to make us engineer, we failed in biology but our parents spent to make us a doctor.Strange na?But true, this is also one very important reason why satisfaction level has gone down. So if we will start doing things we love to do half of our problem will get solved.Opting a profession we actually wanted to be in, will bring job satisfaction with peace at mind.
Now talking about the other component of this discussion 'that smile has become the costliest gift',we may discover solution of problem discussed in the above paragraph.Smile is like knowledge the more you spread the more you gets in return, 'wo kehte hai na" gyan baatne se badhta hai, waise hi muskan v baatne se badhti hai"We need to make others smile, people who are around us,parents, children, relatives, friends, and some time strangers. How?By showing respect to elders,by doing there work,by paying attention to their problems, spending time with them, listening to their thoughts, bringing gift for kids and friends, making their favorite dish, calling and telling them what they meant for you, wishing your relatives on their B'day, celebrating their success and sharing their problems, meet your neighbour know him,and sometime small charity to those who need, like covering a poor with blanket who is shivering in open during winters, although that may cost you one movie with your friends, but trust me that will bless you with smile you can wear not only on your face but in your heart. Each time you make someone smile you will get a smile in return. That is the way of life and perhaps that is the key to smile. And that is the way we can preserve our culture.
